Spellbound

This week has been fucking exhausting. He'd been consuling all week and dealing with a threat over in Norway. Somebody trying to brew mind control potions, again. Why couldn't everybody just get along and stop fussing? He's finally back home, in England, heading up the wizarding council while they go over worldwide news, and he gets an invite - no, it isn't that. It's more of a demand, from King Pendragon.

He's a bit tired, really, and didn't feel like dealing with it. "Not now, thank you. Politely decline, for me?" He told the runner. "Send him some magical candy."

He just wanted to go home and finish his book, thank you. He didn't ask for these powers, but if he took a holiday the world would flip out. People held him in high regard for some reason - he wasn't that wise, or old. He was just a young man trying to do right. Yet somehow the King was demanding his presence.

"I don't mind. You make a good drag queen." He teases. "Do you have time for a cup of tea?" After all this is England, the country were tea solves everything.

Merlin blushes and nods, ducking his head. "Yeah..."

"Good." Arthur smiles, pleased that Merlin is going to stay for a while. "Do you want to get changed into some of my clothes for the time being?"

"Ah, yes please." Merlin nods, flushing as he glances down at the dress. He's still wearing the bra, too.

[royalpratness]

Arthur chuckles, taking a pair of pants and a hoodie from his closet and handing it to Merlin. "Go get changed. I'll make some tea."

"Thank you, Arthur." Merlin nods and disappears into the bathroom for a moment. When he comes out, he's a bit engulfed in the clothes, much skinner than Arthur.

"I gotta say that dress was much more fashionable." Arthur waves Merlin to come sit down with him at the coffee table where a cup of tea is already waiting for him.

Merlin laughs, bunching the fabric up in his hands. "Thank you, Arthur, really."

[royalpratness]

"Will you stop thanking me already? You were the one who just saved my life." Arthur pours some milk into his tea.

[ayoungboy]

"Yeah, but I do that all the time."

[royalpratness]

"That doesn't make it any less important. Now lean back, drink your tea and relax."

[ayoungboy]

Merlin smiles gratefully and falls silent, taking a sip.

[royalpratness]

Arthur leans back in his chair, smiling at Merlin over the rim of his tea cup.

"And you're sure you're alright?" Merlin asks again, relaxing slowly into his seat.

[royalpratness]

"I'm fine. I told you they didn't get anywhere close to me. My knights are pretty freaked out though."

[ayoungboy]

"I can talk to them, as Mary, if you'd like?"

[royalpratness]

"Yes, that's a good idea. It might help to explains things to them."

[ayoungboy]

"None of them will try to grab me, aye?" Merlin smiles playfully. "I'm already fake-dating the King."

[royalpratness]

"Don't worry, they all have very good manners." Arthur smiles back at him. "Yes, that must be such a chore."

[ayoungboy]

"Don't think I didn't notice the one looking at my arse." Merlin snorts and sips his tea. "Aye, I hope I can still go into town without being mobbed. I've been in the woods all bloody week."

gonna make dinner, back in a tad :)

"That must have been Gwaine." Arthur grins. "I wouldn't be too sure about it. The whole world knows your face now."

"Brunette, bit of a beard?" Merlin laughs a little. "Well, no one's going to be looking for Emrys in plain sight."

[royalpratness]

"That's him, yes. He's a bit of a flirt." That's the understatement of the year.

[ayoungboy]

"I'll drop his ass in the mud," Merlin warns, stirring his tea.

[royalpratness]

"He's not going to try anything. At least not while he's on duty."
