The circus comes into town in the late afternoon. It's a quiet caravan, but the whispers start immediately. It's not a regular circus. This one - this is the Camelot circus. One of the most esteemed traveling acts in the country, and not for the faint of heart. This one has a flaming sword eater and a terrifying magician.

A few brave people try to peek at the preparations, but once the big tent is up, all that can really be seen are food stands being set up, and a few podiums for acts unknown. Everything else is hidden from view. You want to see? Come buy a ticket.

Curled up against Merlin, Arthur falls asleep again within a few minutes.

Merlin wakes up very early in the morning, around 4. He groans, stretching like a cat against Arthur.

Arthur wakes from the movement, blinking at Merlin in the dark. "Hey."

[ayoungboy]

"Hey," Merlin whispers, throat rough with sleep.

[royalpratness]

Arthur smoothes a hand through Merlin's hair. "I hate to say it, but you should probably return to your room now."

[ayoungboy]

[ooc: what is happening.]

Merlin sighs a little, nuzzling into Arthur's hand. "Damn."

"Language, Merlin." Arthur grins, kissing his forehead. "Can you walk?"

"Let's see." Merlin smiles softly and tries to get up, off the bed.

Arthur sits up as well, watching Merlin.

Merlin winces just a little, holding onto Arthur's bedpost. "...m'feeling it now."

I'm off for today, got some more work to do -__-v

Arthur gets up on his feet, smiling back at Merlin. "I'd love to."

Merlin beams, gathering his clothes. He's starting to leak, and he flushes. "I should go before I leave...evidence on the floor.

"You should get dressed, first. No need to accidentally flash any of my staff." Arthur grins, looking him up and down.

Merlin coughs and pulls on his trousers. "I'll stain them."

Arthur hands Merlin his shirt. "You can always wash them, but I'll find you another set of clothes later today."

[ayoungboy]

Merlin smiles and slips the shirt over his head. "I'll see you later, Arthur."

"See you later." Arthur wishes that Merlin could stay but he knows that it's too dangerous.

Merlin doesn't see Arthur until breakfast, limping only slightly as he moves into the dining room.

Arthur smiles, leaning in as Merlin comes closer. "Are you feeling okay?"

[ayoungboy]

"Right as rain." Merlin murmurs back softly, biting his lip.

[royalpratness]

"Glad to hear that." Arthur gestures for him to sit down. "Here, have some tea."

[ayoungboy]

"Thank you." Merlin seats himself next to Arthur.

Alice appears from the kitchen, bringing them more bread and fruit.

"Are you planning to go back to the circus today?" After all, Merlin seems to have recovered just fine and he was intend of going back to work as soon as possible.
